“And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH….And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.”
(Scriptural, Anciently the nation of Babylon ruled openly, oppressing her subjects. In the last days before the Second Coming, John reveals to us that Babylon is a city, which rules the kings of the earth secretly. MYSTERY is translated from the Greek work μυστηριον or musterion which carries the idea of silence or secrecy imposed by initiation into religious rites. μυω (muo) it’s root word, means to shut the mouth. Revelation, 17:5,18.)
